At Mappa we don’t pretend to be the Italian Stalion, but Amsterdammers (locals) whom embrace the Italian kitchen. We don’t always play by the Italian rules, but our choices are well made. Vinnie & Sergio are given the creative freedom in our kitchen, the result of which is beautiful food for you! They get their recipes from all over Italy. From Milano to Sicily and then back to the Nes.
We serve simple dishes with fresh ingredients & a good portion of Italian passione. Mappa Mia!
OUR WINES
Our wine supplier and dear friend Carlo travels across the Italian hills in search of good wine makers and of course great wine.
The wine growers really matter to us. We love to support their family traditions, their working methods and of course their passion for their vineyards.
You will find that we serve Italian wine only, made by the hands of great wine masters like Walter Massa or made by small, more traditional vineyard families.
Restaurant Mappa is a cozy Italian restaurant in the city centre of Amsterdam. We probably don’t play it always by the Italian rules, but our choices are well made. We serve simple dishes with fresh ingredients and a good portion of Italian passione. Mappa is a great place to come together and enjoy a celebratory meal.
